I'm raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

This October, I'm taking part in The Great British Dog Walk. Every mile I walk, and every pound I raise, will help train more life-changing hearing dogs for deaf people.

Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.

It costs £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so by taking part in The Great British Dog Walk, I am helping to raise funds to train more dogs. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

Thank you.

And making progress on the 50 miles target

Well Week 1 is over.

Sunday 5th Oct
So week one is over and although I was travelling on 1st and have had a busy week in my village with other activities, Lottie and I have managed 13.7 miles towards our goal.

Weather has been a bit windy or rainy or both and I have so far forgotten to put Lottie's pennant on.
