28 Challenge 2026

28 Challenge

Every penny we raise will help more hearing dog puppies to be trained, so that one day they can transform a deaf persons life.

Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.

It costs £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so the Challenge we are taking on is a great way to raise funds to train more dogs. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

Thank you.

My Updates

Let the 28 Challenge commence

Sunday 1st Feb
It is finally here, 1st February, and we're officially off to a great start. Our fundraising is going very well and we are continuing to get great support.
Jennifer Brown is running a silent auction for us, with some beautiful pieces of Kim Anderson artwork donated by Corinne Bullock. Jennifer has also put together some amazing raffle hampers that I am hoping I win.
Corinne has also donated to our stash of raffle prizes.
Marie Foulk has been making and selling some gorgeous gemstone bracelets, and her friend is making book craft hedgehogs.
Not forgetting Lisa Marie's lucky dip and yes, it's for grown ups. craft painted bottles, candle holders, coasters, plant pots and more.
It's going to be a blast.

We are so lucky

28 Challenge at The Grange

Thursday 1st Jan
After last year's success the challenge is on to do it again.
Maxine, HD Walter, HD Elvis and I will be attempting to get 28 Hearing Dogs in a photo, as well as competing in a race (oh how we laughed last year). With help from photographer David Moore of course (we couldn't do it without him). See some of his work here https://www.davidmoorephotography.co.uk/
All donations, large or small, would be very much appreciated for this great charity.
Thank you.
