I’m raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People – a charity that means a lot to me, because I know firsthand the difference a hearing dog makes.
My hearing dog, Cole, has completely changed my life. He alerts me to vital sounds like the doorbell, alarm clock, and smoke alarm, but he does so much more than that. Cole gives me confidence, independence, and constant companionship. Thanks to him, I feel less isolated and much more connected to the world around me.
This October, Cole and I are taking part in The Great British Dog Walk. Every mile we walk, and every pound we raise, will help train more incredible hearing dogs who can transform the lives of deaf people – just like Cole has transformed mine.
It costs around £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
