🐾Lets raise money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People🐾

I will be taking part in The Great British Dog Walk 2025 challenge to raise funds for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, a charity that has been close to my heart for many years.

I’ve been part of the Hearing Dogs family since 2017, starting out as a volunteer and now working as a Community Fundraising Manager covering Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, and the Isle of Wight.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of forming strong relationships with local partnerships and witnessing first-hand the incredible impact these life-changing dogs have on deaf people – not just for practical help and safety, but for confidence, wellbeing, and companionship. It’s truly incredible the difference they make and it warms my heart every day!

This year, I was diagnosed with hearing loss myself and I also live with a chronic nerve condition that developed following the COVID vaccinations. In 2022, this condition caused me to completly lose my ability to walk and was told I would never walk again – a shocking thought at the age of 32, and especially for someone who was always active and loved sports.

Refusing to accept my fate, I embarked on a long & difficult journey of rehabilitation. I’m grateful to say I’m finally back on my feet, albeit unsteadily and still with many challenges but I no longer take walking or my legs for granted and never will again!

This challenge is the perfect way to get outdoors, enjoy nature, set myself a fun challenge whilst raising awareness and vital funds for a cause that means so much to me. Every step I take will be for the lives of deaf people, transformed by these incredible hearing dogs, including the friends I’ve been lucky enough to meet along the way.

If you’d like to support me and help train life-changing hearing dogs, I’d be incredibly grateful for your donation.

Any amount, big or small, will mean so much and make a huge collective difference to the work we do and the lives we change.

Thank you so much for your donation 💜🐾
