I'm raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

This February I am taking part in the 28 Challenge, and every pound I raise, will help train more life-changing hearing dogs for deaf people.

Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.

It costs £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so by taking part in The 28 Challenge, I am helping to raise funds to train more dogs. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

After a few days walking around London in the half term, Isaac and Jude have completed their 28 miles for hearing dogs 💜

The boys have already smashed their fundraising target and February is yet to start! I’ve increased their goal and they can’t wait to start moving on 1st Feb :)

In February, Isaac and Jude will be taking on the 28 challenge for Hearing dogs and running or walking 28 miles throughout February. 

Isaac was born deaf and at two years old receiving his cochlear implants. When he’s not wearing these devices he can’t hear at all. 

In 2026 or 2027 Isaac will be receiving his first ever hearing dog. This dog will alert him to alarms during the night, help him feel less anxious when he’s out and alert him to noises during the day. 

This dog will improve Isaac’s quality of life throughout the next chapter of his life, and it will be his new best friend.

This charity is therefore very close to our families hearts and we would like to give back by fundraising for them. If you could please help Isaac and Jude, any penny will be appreciated.

This is a lovely charity, I am happy to help. I also donate to the blind and a blind dog charity. I didnt know until now about dogs for other sensory impairments, I am glad I found this on facebook from a friends feed.
