I'm raising money for Hearing Dogs
This October, I'm taking part in The Great British Dog Walk. Every mile I walk, and every pound I raise, will help Hearing Dogs for Deaf People provide practical support services for those with hearing loss and train more life-changing hearing dogs for people that need them.
Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people and hearing loss to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.
It costs £26,000 to fully train a hearing dog. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

🐾 Our Hearing Dogs Walking Challenge – Spirit and I Are On a Roll!
October’s Hearing Dogs walking challenge is going really well, and Spirit and I are making great progress towards our target of 70 miles this month! 🐾💙
We’ve been getting out for a walk every day after work. So far, we’ve been averaging 11,000 steps a day, covering around 4.04 miles daily! 🚶♀️🐶 We’re really pleased with how things are going, and we’re firmly on target to reach our 70-mile goal by the end of October.
It’s lovely to know that every step we take is helping to raise awareness and support the incredible work that Hearing Dogs do. 💙
We’re looking forward to keeping up the daily walks and seeing how far we can go this month. One step at a time, Spirit and I are doing our bit for a cause that means so much! 🐾
