The Great British Dog Walk 2026

I'm raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

This October, I'm taking part in The Great British Dog Walk. Every mile I walk, and every pound I raise, will help Hearing Dogs for Deaf People provide practical support services for those with hearing loss and train more life-changing hearing dogs for people that need them.

Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.

The average lifetime cost of a hearing dog is £70,000. This includes breeding, training, applicant support, placement and ongoing partnership support, through to retirement and succession planning. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

Thank you.

My Updates

Fund raising for hearing dogs.

Wednesday 30th Sep
Hello everyone. Some of you know that whilst I was poorly, I was unable to keep my loyal and trusty companion. Sadly I had to put his interests before my own wants!
Anyway, I still have access to Luna, and three other dogs, so I thought it would be the perfect charity walk to undertake.
As many of you know, Dad is extremely hard of hearing, and had he been a bit younger, a hearing dog may have been the perfect solution

Please donate if any of this resonates with you. Thank you in advance.
