I'm running London Marathon 2027 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf people!

I started Couch to 5K in 2024, never imagining running would become such a huge part of my life. Since then, I’ve completed my first 10K and half marathon, and now I’ll be proudly running the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People!!!

I’m a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult). My mum and several other members of my family are deaf, so deafness has always been part of our everyday lives. Growing up, my nan had a hearing dog and she was the smallest in the UK at the time, so I saw first hand the confidence, independence and companionship these incredible dogs provide.

Hearing dogs alert deaf people to important and potentially life saving sounds, while also providing emotional support and companionship. It costs around £26,000 to train and support each dog, and I’ve committed to raising at least £2,500 towards this life-changing work.

Taking on 26.2 miles will be my biggest physical challenge yet, but knowing every mile will help transform someone’s life will make it worthwhile. Any donation, big or small, would mean the absolute world to me.
