Help me reach my goal of £350

I am raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

Every penny I raise will help more hearing dog puppies to be trained, so that one day they can transform a deaf persons life.

Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.

It costs £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so the Challenge I am taking on is a great way to raise funds to train more dogs. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

An unbelievable charity

I came across this charity when I began working for them a few years ago. I quickly realised that this was not just a small charity that helped only a few people, this charity was a massive life changing charity for so many people across the UK. A charity that needs as much support as it can get to continue helping people who struggle with deafness and providing them with a highly trained dog to open up a world that they once thought would be shut off for them. However training and caring for a hearing dog is not a cheap thing to do so any help you we can provide this charity will go along way. 

I am running this race for Hearing Dogs and to raise money for them this year but I want to dedicate the run to a very special little boy who has just turned one called Luca. Good friends of mine have been spending the first year of their son’s life going back and forth to hospitals and doctors appointments as they found out very early on that he might be deaf. This has been confirmed and he has been an absolute star and taking it all in his stride. I run for you little man and maybe one day Hearing Dogs will help you thrive!!
