I am raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
Every penny I raise will help more hearing dog puppies to be trained, so that one day they can transform a deaf persons life.
Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.
It costs £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so this challenge I am taking on is a great way to raise funds to train more dogs. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

And so it begins…
Tuesday 7th JulHello people ! I’m so excited to share that I’ve officially been offered a place to run the London Marathon 2027 for Hearing Dogs !
This is a charity which means so much to me and my family. My grandma has had a hearing dog for over 10 years, and seeing the incredible difference her dog Willow has made to her life has been truly inspiring. Although Willow is now retired, she still brings comfort and companionship to my grandma every single day. Seeing first-hand the confidence, independence and reassurance that a hearing dog provides is something I’ll never forget.
That’s why I’m so proud to be running to help raise money so more deaf people can experience the same life-changing support. This cause is especially close to my heart, and following in my Father’s footsteps—a veteran marathoner who has also ran the London Marathon for Hearing Dogs—makes this challenge even more meaningful.
Over the winter months, I’ll be training hard and organising plenty of fundraising events. As a primary school teacher, I have lots of exciting ideas and can’t wait to get my school and local community involved.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Hearing Dogs continue their amazing work. Thank you so much for your support, it really does mean the world to me. Let the London Mara 2027 journey begin !
