I am raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
this year Im lucky enough to be taking part in the London marathon !! This challenge isn’t just about pushing myself physically & mentally but also about making a change.
As a biomed student I spend a lot of time learning about how the body, brain and senses work- and how life changing it can be when something as vital as hearing is lost.
Hearing dogs for death people is one of the best options and shows that health isn’t just about medicine and treatments. Running this marathon is my way of turning what I study into action, using my own challenge to help create real-world impact beyond the classroom !
Due to me taking a dropout position I only have 11 weeks to not only train but also raise 2.5k in the meantime ! So therefore any support & donations are greatly appreciated 🤍🐶
Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.
