TCS London Marathon 2027 - Team Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

I am raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

Every penny I raise will help more hearing dog puppies to be trained, so that one day they can transform a deaf persons life.

Hearing dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.

It costs £25,000 to fully train a hearing dog, so this challenge I am taking on is a great way to raise funds to train more dogs. Any donation, however large or small, will really help.

Thank you.

Let’s Do This!!

Wednesday 8th Jul
Hello everyone!

I’m so excited to share that I’ve officially been offered a place to run the London Marathon 2027 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People!

This is a charity that’s incredibly close to my heart. As an audiologist, I’ve seen firsthand how hearing loss can affect every aspect of a person’s life—not just their ability to hear, but also their confidence, independence, and connections with others. Through my work, I was introduced to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and the life-changing support they provide. Their amazing dogs do so much more than alert people to important sounds; they offer reassurance, companionship, and greater independence every single day.

Anyone who knows me also knows how much I love dogs. As the proud owner of three dogs, I’ve experienced the unconditional love and comfort they bring, making it even more inspiring to see the extraordinary bond between hearing dogs and the people they support.

Running has become a huge passion of mine, and taking on the London Marathon feels like the perfect opportunity to combine that passion with a cause I truly believe in. Over the coming months, I’ll be training hard, sharing my journey, and organising fundraising events to support this incredible charity.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Hearing Dogs continue changing lives. Thank you so much for your support—it genuinely means the world to me. Let’s get this London Marathon 2027 journey started!

Why Supporting Hearing Dogs Means So Much to Me

Tuesday 7th Jul
I've always been a dog lover. As the proud owner of three wonderful dogs, I know firsthand the joy, comfort, and unconditional love they bring into our lives. They aren't just pets—they're family.

When I learned more about Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, I was inspired by the incredible bond between a hearing dog and their partner. These amazing dogs do so much more than alert people to important sounds; they provide confidence, independence, companionship, and a constant source of support.

Combining my love for dogs with my passion for helping people with hearing loss makes supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People especially meaningful to me. It's a charity that celebrates the extraordinary difference dogs can make, and I'm proud to be a small part of that mission.

How Being an Audiologist Led Me to Hearing Dogs

Tuesday 7th Jul
Working as an audiologist has given me the privilege of helping people hear better, but it has also shown me that hearing care is about so much more than hearing aids and hearing tests. Through my profession, I was introduced to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and the incredible difference these dogs make to the lives of people living with hearing loss.

Every day, I see how hearing loss can affect confidence, communication, and independence. Hearing Dogs provide practical support by alerting their partners to important sounds, while also offering companionship and helping to reduce feelings of isolation.

I'm proud to support a charity that shares the same goal I have as an audiologist: helping people with hearing loss live more confident, connected, and independent lives.
